"Right As Rain" (AKA: Pebbles) is the most recent addition to Star Gleam Farm.  She is a lovely filly who should mature a top sized small pony.  Her pedigree indicates she should be a solid performance pony.  She has lovely conformation and movement and will be shown on the line.  Pebbles made her show ring debut at the Maryland State Fair where whe won her Section B Filly Foal class.  She is a beautiful mover and has so much athleticism, we love her!  She is a pleasure to be around and has so much sense.  We are excited about showing her in hand next year.  Pebbles is a Registered Section B Welsh pony and will be Life Recorded with the USEF.

Emo is currently being conditioned for the Hunter Breeder ring and will be shown lightly in 2009.  Emo is a sweet pony with a kind temperament.  He is also quite athletic and a very good mover.  To mature a good sized large pony.  At his first show, and his first time off the farm, Emo was Reserve Champion Crossbred Pony at the Maryland Pony Breeders Annual show!!  Yeah.  He behaved like a true champ!  He is a lovely gelding and will be a wonderful  prospect to bring along.

Handled by her breeder, Margaret Redman, Kisses won the filly class and went on to be Reserve Champion of the 2007 VPBA Yearling Futurity held on June 24, 2007.  Kisses showed beautifully and is just as sweet and sensible as she is beautiful.  She is a lovely filly with excellent movement, conformation and an extremely easy going temperament.  To mature a top sized medium pony.  

Kisses had her performance debut in the VPBA Young Pony Under Saddle class at Upperville on June 6, 2009.  This class is for registered VPBA ponies 4 years old or younger, ridden by a junior and shown at the walk, trot and canter.  Nat Britell got the catch ride and they placed 6th !!  With only 40 days under saddle, we were thrilled.  Kisses just gets better and better, she is going to be an awesome kid's pony some day.  Kisses is for sale.

Severn Fire Thorn was the WPCSA 2006 Reserve National Champion Section A Colt and the 2006 Maryland Pony Breeders Champion Section A Yearling Colt!   Fire Thorn (AKA: The Shrub, Shrublet, Shrubster, Thorn) is a fun pony and we thoroughly enjoy dragging him to the shows and letting the kids hang all over him. 

Fire Thorn is now started under saddle!  The Shrublet made his under saddle debut at the 2008 Maryland State Fair in the Leadline 4 and under class with T. J. Lyons in the irons and big sister Katie in the lead!    Don't know who's cuter T.J or Fire Thorn ??

Windy Ridge Lucy or "Snickers" is a Welsh-Cross mare (Red Hot Pepper (Sec. B Welsh) x Woodlands Sprite).  She was the 1998 and 1999 VPBA/VHSA Champion Pony Hunter Broodmare and the 1999 MHSA and MPB Crossbred Broodmare champion.  Snickers is also the dam of "Over The Moon" , Fortune Cookie (both by Pengwyn), Indigo Girl (by Wicklyn Blue Scarab) and Woodwind (by Brierwood).   In 2007, Snicker had a beautiful gray filly by Otteridge Foxtrot, "Let's Dance."

Farnley Artful "Cricket" (Farnley Frere Jacques x Farnley Flattery by Farnley Lustre) is a 13 hand Section B Welsh mare born in 1978. Cricket is a gorgeous mare with wonderful bloodlines. In her younger days, she won many broodmare classes (including Devon when they had a broodmare class), however, she did not show for some 8 years prior to 1999. We took her to one Welsh Show in 1999 where she ended up Reserve Champion Section B Mare! She is mother to Pixie Dust and Doodle-Bug (AKA: Rock-A-Bye) (both by Pengwyn and both registered Section B Welsh). 

Cricket has had many foals over the years who were not registered, most of them have gone on to successful show careers in the Hunter world, including "Look At Me" by Rocky Rabbit currently winning on the A circuit in the Medium Pony Hunter division.   Cricket is now retired from her broodmare duties.  She is a pure pleasure to be around.  We will love her and care for her for the rest of her natural life.
