Congratulations James Dean, Winner of the Non-Thoroughbred Yearling Colts/Geldings at Devon 2008 ~ !

Bred by Margaret Redman, James is the newest addition to the Star Gleam Farm 2008 Show Roster.  James is tall, dark and handsome!  Appaloosa by registration only, he has no spots or app characteristics and looks like a fancy solid dark bay hunter.  JD won the Non-TB Yearling Colts/Geldings class at Devon 2008 !

Tango

Sadly, Tango had to be humanely destroyed in December of 2008.  The vet estimated his age at 28 to 30 years.  We were so sad to let him go.  He was a once in a lifetime horse.

Margret Redman "found" this incredible horse at an auction barn in Thurmont, Maryland.  She paid $190 for him, she told us that she just wanted to give him a chance because at this price, he was certainly bound for slaughter.  He is now Kathryn's trustworthy trail horse. He is a once in a lifetime horse: honest, kind, safe, comfortable, willing and brave.  Basically he's a packer.

Sherry's Loose

The LOVE of Tim's life !

Sherry's Loose (we call her Sherry or Loosy) is a 1989 Thoroughbred mare, gray, about 15.1 hands. She won four races in her racing career, all at Charles Town Turf Club. She is Tim's trusty trail horse.

Tug That Float

Tug That Float or Katie, is a cute chestnut Thoroughbred mare around 15.2 hands. Her Jockey Club name is "Tug that Float." She's a very sweet mare with nice hunter movement. Katie's first foal, ShowBoat (by Pengwyn) was born in 2000.  Showboat was 3rd at Devon as a Two Year Old and won the Three Year Old Fillies class at Devon in 2003.  As a performance pony she was gone on to success in the regular Large Pony Hunter Division.  We are very proud of her accomplishments and wish her the best of luck in the future.   Katie's second foal "Rainboat" was born in May 2001.  Rainboat is a full sister to Showboat.  Rainboat was 4th at Devon as a yearling (2001).    In 2003 Katie had a beautiful bay colt Harrison by the imported Section A Welsh Stallion *Menai Mister Mostyn.  

We have tried several times to get Katie back in foal, but to no avail, so Katie has now taken up her new role as Tim's trusty "back up" trail horse.
